So to celebrate the release of City of Ashes, which should be out sometime this week, I purchased these shoes:




I had boot envy of Maureen, and now I feel better. And the boots are so red. And not only that, but since I had to order them from the Fleuvog store or Newbery Street, they came with a handwritten note that said:

Dear Cassie, These are killer boots! You will change the landscape whereever you go in these beauties. Thanks for shopping Fluevog!

My boyfriend is unimpressed with this (I think he believes I have a shoe addiction, which is possible). He says,
"For three hundred bucks, they should send you a handwritten note every Christmas."

Off to England Wednesday. Yay!

Oooo those are some seriously awesome boots! I have a pair of red shoes, and when I wear them, I feel like I could conquer a galaxy or two.

Apparently it is already being shipped from amazon, as B&N told me it wouldn't be in until the 25th but when I looked on Amazon Tuesday it said in stock and my package should get here Monday. Just in time to distract me from finishing my state appellate brief.

Also, there is this group called Twilight Moms, for all the older, married, mom Twilight fans and I lurk there for their set stalking stories. Well, apparently each month Stephenie Meyer gives them a book to read and they all talk about. This months book is City of Bones. Just a fun tidbit.

Also, now I have boot envy. Do they come in purple? ;-)

I have such a Fluevog obsession - I have a pair of their strange heart-heeled mary janes, and a pair of the supervogs in blue/gray.

These boots are really cool looking - I wanted the ones that have that strange lace-up bit on the side that came in purple, but I failed to buy any in time.

I'm super excited that the new book is coming out! I've been eagerly checking the store shelves.

Good taste! I have these. Fluevogs are very comfy and stylish, but very expensive. Still, I can walk miles in them and they're fab, so I think they were worth it.

Josh simply needs to become more involved in the shoe addiction, preferably on the buying-them-for-you end. That'll solve everything.

Love the boots! I've got a pair of knee high red velvet Doc's and they make my 5 foot tall self feel like a giant, butt-kickin' superhero. I've got a serious shoe addiction myself.

I'm so excited for City of Ashes that I go into shakey fits every once in a while just thinking about it! I work in a bookstore and my goal is to sell at least 10 copies of City of Bones a week. I have it on display every 20 feet in my store. Every once in a while someone will run into the store (which is in a mall) and yell "it's almost here!!!". Then we jump up and down holding hands and promplty return to being normal functioning people. Many if these people (including me) are adults. Apparently I must put up the Bat Signal upon it's arrival (we've got a lengthy reservation list).

Boots.
I dropped a bowl full of ice cream and whipped cream and caramel (which broke) and just sat there in complete shock looking at them. They are absolutely beautiful and perfect.

I got City of Ashes in the mail yesterday. I didn't get home until 1230 in the morning, but I had to read it. Thanks for ruining my sleep. (I have to work at 730).

No really, it's awesome so far. If only this pesky job wasn't keeping me from reading it straight through.... :)
