UK Glass cover. Aus/NZ release dates, and tour info.  
First, if you won an ARC in the ARC contest, it is on its way to you. Some have already gotten theirs . . .

[ETA and two of them have posted reviews for those interested in such]

... but if you are overseas I imagine it will take longer. If you're waiting for the Clockwork Princess chapter, it's being printed and bound and then I'll mail them out.

Secondly, a sneak peek at the cover of the UK/Ireland City of Glass cover. I think it is going to look awesome.



Thirdly, a little info about the City of Glass book tour: I'm going to be in Pennsylvania (Exton), San Diego, LA, Houston (for the Texas Library Association conference), Ohio, New York, Toronto, and Vancouver. More information as I get it, will be posted here.

And lastly, good news for those readers in Australia and New Zealand who do not like to wait — the publication date of City of Glass there has been moved up to March 24, for a simultaneous release with the US edition! I'm very excited and pleased about this. [This doesn't affect the UK/Ireland edition; that'll still be out July 6. *cowers* Look, it's not me, I don't make these decisions! It has to do with marketing!] I will be over in the UK to promote Glass, though probably not in Australia as it is far and expensive for me to go.

In unrelated news, Fluevog is having a sale and I want these:



but am convinced that if I try to walk in them I will hurtle down the stairs.

I saw someone with those shoes on the just the other day and I wished I had somewhere to go where I could wear shoes like that because they are fabulous. Then I realized I'd kill myself in those so it's probably best I'm not tempted by places to go where I could wear those shoes because I'd wind up in a dead heap with fabulous shoes on.

And that cover is very striking. I like it!

And those shoes are fabulous! They remind me of a modern punk Cinderella. And you know, who ever said you have to actually walk around in them? Just lean attractively against a wall. :D

Still, I would also love my books to have to US cover.. somehow I definitely prefer the first to ours. :(
Oh, by the way.. Murder One, the bookstore where you had the signing in London in September is closing down at the end of January. Sad, sady story but I will always treasure the memory of my first (and sadly only XD) book signing there and meeting you. :)

Does the fact that you will be in Houston for the TLA conference mean that you won't be doing an outside signing?

I honestly don't know. I'd like to, esp if we could find a good independent bookstore, but the TLA conference just got added to the schedule and it might be hard for my publicist to pull it together at this late date. Are you in Houston?

You know, I brought awesomely unpractical shoes on my first book tour and wound up fedexing them home because there was so much walking involved. If only I had thought of the sedan chair!

Hooray for LA!!!!! Hopefully it will be before I graduate from school cause I don't know if I'm staying here after all that jazz.

I concur on the shoes. Fantabulous but I'd probably find a way to fall down in those just by standing up in them. Which is probably why all the shoes are own are boring but keep me alive.

High-heeled oxfords are a fad right now. I have a pair of black ones that I got awhile ago. They're kind of flashy though, with ribbons instead of laces and such. I think I'd like a plain black pair with regular laces and decent heels - no stiletto things or I'd break an ankle. They're "smart"-looking.

Anyway, I'll be glad to hear when you'll be stopping in Toronto, because if I'm in the city I might be able to go. :) I'm at uni right now, two hours away, but... you never know!

Two things:

- Hell yeah! Australia no have to wait till September again for the book! I plan on importing USA HC like I did for the last two, but I know quite a few customers at my work that will be super pleased! *coughs to hide her book pimping*

- *sighs* Very few authors ever comes to Australia... darn us for being so far away from UK and America!

PS: Very nice shoes... I would probably kill myself in them though lol

I can't wait for the book =) It's not often one finds favorite characters.

I believe I WILL make it to your book tour this year. I slipped up and just HAD to be on vacation when you were around last time, but I swear it won't happen this time. Won't be long now... =)
