postcards, dresses, tour prep  
1) I finally have the info for both the Toronto and Vancouver signings I'll be doing with Holly Black in April.

VANCOUVER:

2) All the tour postcards have finally been sent out, yesterday and this morning — there was a massive glitch at the printer's and thus the delay, fortunately postcards rarely take more than a few days to get where they're going so all should be well. Also thanks to the printer there was a shortage of postcards with the tour image on them, so a few of you, maybe thirty, will be getting postcards with Infernal Devices or MI images on them. Fortunately all postcards function about the same. :)

3) In preparation for tour, I have ordered approximately 15 polka-dot dresses from Stop Staring. Stop Staring makes vintage-inspired dresses that all kind of look like this:



So if you see me on tour, I will probably be wearing polka dots. Dots!

4) Four days till City of Glass!

awesome. the vancouver leg is really close to where my friends are going to school (UBC) so i can definitely get one of them to go for me since i'm home now.

Imagine my shock when my library notified me that City of Glass was ready for me to pick up SIX days before the release...

I finished the book in three and half hours.

All I have to say is... nah, I won't ruin it for y'all...all right, I can at least say this: <3

City of Glass isn't actually out yet? But...I bought it two days ago o_O

Now I feel guilty for getting accidental early!book. Also extra guilty for not having read it yet (I want to finish vol II of Octavian Nothing first, which I bought pretty much at the same time).

Although it does kind of make me feel better about the fact that the first two books took ages to get to Australia :D

It's not YOUR fault. The bookstores in Australia have been really really bad about sticking to the embargo date, which only worries me because it might endanger any future simultaneous releases in Aus/NZ.

Yay for evening signings that are after my exam! Also, yay for venues that are walking distance from my house! Since the venue is a church, I am assuming that I can bring my own books for you to sign, rather than buying them there ... there will be books to buy there, though, right? Any idea what kind of payment they'll take? Thanks!

It should be set up like a regular bookstore, with them selling books just as they would normally and with their normal signing rules.

I keep on trying to trick my local bookstores into letting me have a copy early... I'm happy (for you. Not so much for me who wants this book now) to say that so far I have been unsuccessful.

It depends on the bookstore's policy. Sometimes they want you to buy the most recent book.

Amazon.fr shipped mine two days ago.... I'm going to read it tonight during my night shift. That's exciting to know I will be able to read it now !
