The Infernal Devices
The Infernal Devices website is now up!

Web designer Theo Black did a fantastic job. Gears clanking, smoke pouring out of chimneys, old-fashioned clocks ticking: it's a steampunk Victorian wonderland!

You can learn about the characters in the new series here.

There's some lovely artwork here.

Frequently asked questions about the series are here.

There are gorgeous wallpapers of Tessa, Will, Jem and the others here.

And probably of most interest, there's an excerpt from the seventh chapter of the book, Pale Kings and Princes, up here.

It may be my computer being retarded, but something is odd with that first link.

Love the website, although the clicking on the front page is annoying (how can we sneakily look at it at work? hehe).

jace and clary
Please tell me that Jace and Clary will have a few more adventures!!! I loved them. My heart just sank thru all three books I just couldn't imagine being that much in love with someone and not being able to be with them. I would like to see how much their love grows!!!! This series was awesome.

Can't wait!
I had a look (because let's face it I'm procrastinating like mad) and it looks so awesome.

I read the excerpt from chap 7 and already I know I'm going to love Will. Wow, that sounded lame, but I can't help it. Two nights straight without sleep will make me blunt.

Re: Can't wait!
haha, i so know how u feel, but i think i'm going to like Jem, he seems like he'll be kinda a new Alec-like-ish character :) haha, that made absolutely zero sense, sry! but oh my gosh a can't wait until it comes out!!!! I might just jump out of my skin if i have to wait until 2010!!!!

It looks awesome, I look forward to the steampunk theme.. but I couldn't find magnus in the character page, does that mean he wont be around much?
A clean house is the sign of a broken computer.: books[info]aome on May 21st, 2009 02:34 pm (UTC)
Apparently your websites are not Mac-friendly. Or SeaMonkey-friendly. Or something - I can't scroll down in either one, so I can only read what's in the top half of the page. Oh well. Beautiful websites, though! And congrats on having a second series in the works.

Btw, I had to mention that I was at the bookstore with my daughters the other day, and we saw your Mortal Instruments trilogy on display. I wowed them by pointing to the books and saying, "I've met the lady who wrote these." :D

scrolling down
my computer does the same thing, what i did was just klick on the sidebar, or where the side bar would be cuz there were pictures on the side, and pull it down without letting go of the button. it hurts ur finger a bit but u get to read everything! :)

OOoh! When does this series come out? I have to hurry and read the rest of Mortal Instruments. I have just finished reading City of Bones, and I absolutely loved it. I've never read Steampunk before...hmm.

I am still on the first book and I am in LOVE with it!
The writing is so dominant and I just love it! Definitely my favorite book EVER! Keep on writing because someone that has as much talent as you deserves to be recognized.
Can't wait to read the Infernal Devices!

the Imortal Instraments series.
Loved, loved, loved the series. I read all three books in a week! My husband and kids are glad to have me back (lol). I didn't think I could find a book that I loved as much as Twilight. I was shocked that I liked this series more!
meta_morph_osis[info]meta_morph_osis on May 21st, 2009 11:33 pm (UTC)
Wow!

I have just recently finished City of Bones and City of Ashes and I was complaining to my mom that the series would be over once I read City of Glass but to find out that there is going to be prequels made my day! And the fact that they're set in the Victoria era is way awesome. I love historical novels such as Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice and it will be interesting to see how Shadowhunters lived in that time period. The artwork is simply beautiful and I love the gears!

Have a nice day,

~ Raven

Infernal Devices! Can't wait!
The website for the infernal devices looks great. I love the gears in the background and the little birds which fly away. I'm looking forward to this series coming out. The excerpt is making me want to read the books already. :)
(Guess there's no chance you'll be coming to Australia any time soon? :D)

Lovely! Do extend my compliments to Theo Black. I'm really excited for the release: the character descriptions have such a deliciously mysterious air that I'm craving more! (I don't suppose there will be another contest for ARCs?)

I love the site! So gorgeous. I'm already trying to figure out twisty turny things that relate to the Mortal Instruments books (like, Tessa and Clary's last names rhyme! ARE THEY SEKRITLY RELATED? I have too much time on my hands). Incidentally, my computer won't let me read all of Jem's character description...could somebody cut and paste for me?
[info]bumblies on May 23rd, 2009 03:30 pm (UTC)
The red triangles slightly above and to the right of Will's description are your scroll controls: it took me a moment to find them the first time. In the event that you're aware of that and it's a computer issue..

Jem: Brought up in the Institute in Shanghai, Jem's parents were killed by a demon who allowed Jem to live-- but with a terrible price to be paid. Frail and silver-haired, Jem seems an unlikely demon-killer, but his skills and swift intelligence make him a formidable foe. He finds a kindred spirit in Tessa as both of them feel they are torn between two worlds, neither belonging completely to one or the other. As Jem's affection for her grows, will Will have to hurt the only person in his life he's ever seemed to care about?

The excerpt was amazing! It has lots of action. I already like Will but I hope he won't be another Jace even though they're related.

I just read the excerpt and I love it! I'm anxious now! 2010 seems extremely far. :OOO But I will wait.. :] I know this sounds a bit weird but... is there any chance you can come to Vegas? That would rock.
