Now normally I would rarely pick a (possibly) canonical pairing but the post was written with such great passion and attention to detail I had to go with it. But, because I must also reward the less conventional, I decided to have two winners in this category, the second being Jem and Alec by
redzolah. Hey, if you can work out the time travel details . . . (And I was surprised — no Will/Jem entries? Really?)Runners-up: Will and Six-Fingered Nigel and Jessamine and Eric and Chairman Meow and Church.
War: I had to discard all entries in which someone fought Simon and he lost. I'm telling you, when you read City of Fallen Angels, you'll see what I mean. The Mark of Cain is some nasty stuff.

cynicallaura's idea of a "sarcastic-off between Will and Jace. Runner's up: Clary vs. Sebastian, and Jace vs. Church: "Okay, I would totally pair up Jace Wayland and Church for a fight to the death for the last delicious piece of moo shu pork. I think it would be a tough competition if those two went at it; Church is hard to budge when it comes to getting food scraps (he didn't get that big without some determination on his part), but when it comes to moo shu pork, Jace is the one who's gonna fight like a horde of demons is after him - failure will not be an option, and the enemy must be obliterated. So obviously, I think Jace would win. Moo shu pork is to important to him. He would never let it go!"
